Skin Surgery Cheshire

Whatever your skin concerns, you can trust renowned plastic surgeon Anca Breahna with your skin surgery in Cheshire.

Miss Breahna is skilled in surgery for all types of skin lesions including mole removal, scar revision and skin cancer treatment.

She offers an extensive range of plastic surgery treatments for the skin, face and body at her clinics in Cheshire and on the Wirral. Her main clinic is based in the prestigious Grosvenor Hospital outside Chester.

Skin lesion removal in Cheshire

Anca Breahna regularly performs skin surgery procedures in both her private practice and her role as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon for her local NHS Foundation Trust in Cheshire so you can feel completely confident in her hands.

Treatments usually take place under local anaesthetic and you will be treated as a day patient.

Skin cancer surgery

Miss Breahna is especially interested in the treatment of skin cancer and holds a weekly surgery offering patients the removal of keratotic lesions, basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas and malignant melanomas.

Miss Breahna will remove both the growth and some surrounding tissue for further testing. Depending on the size of the incision, your surgical wound will be closed with simple sutures or a skin graft or flap may be required.

The closure technique to be used in your procedure will be fully discussed at your first consultation appointment with Miss Breahna at her Cheshire clinic.

Skin cancer can be caused by sun exposure and Miss Breahna advises all her patients to use high-factor sunscreen daily. Protecting your skin will also slow the signs of ageing.

Surgery for moles and other benign lesions

Mole removal is usually a cosmetic procedure. Most moles are harmless but if you dislike the appearance of yours or it makes you feel self-conscious, then Miss Breahna will be able to remove it for you.

She will always assess any skin lesions for her Cheshire patients to ensure that it is not skin cancer and will usually send tissue for testing to be completely sure.

Skin tags and warts are common but, like moles, can be both unattractive and annoying as they may catch on clothing or jewellery.

Removal is usually speedy depending on the body part involved and you will only need a few stitches.

Scar revision

You may dislike the look of your scar but sometimes the urge to remove it is even greater as scars can be itchy. C-section scar revision is a popular procedure at both of Miss Breahna’s clinics in Cheshire.

Aesthetic plastic surgeons may use surgery, silicone sheets or steroid injections to improve the appearance of your skin.

Miss Breahna will discuss the way to achieve the best result for you at your initial consultation.

Other skin treatments available at the clinic in Cheshire

Anca Breahna offers her patients in Cheshire an extensive range of non-surgical skin treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
