Labiaplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure performed to reduce the size of the labia minora and also, in some instances, reshape the area of the smaller inner lips of the vagina (vulva).

Procedure

In a typical recovery the patient can:
- return home the same day of the operation
- Have little downtime as light activities can be undertaken after 48 hours
- Manage any minimal pain with mild painkillers
- shower immediately post-surgery
- See that swelling peaks within 2-3 days and rapidly recedes in the following weeks
- Be able to drive within two weeks
- Return to sexual intercourse within 6 weeks
Are there risks?
