Tuberous Breast Correction

Tuberous breast correction is a procedure that reshapes tuberous shaped breasts. These are a congenital condition and affected people can often feel embarrassed and self-conscious, experiencing some stress and anxiety with the need to hide their appearance.

Tuberous Breast Disorder

The breasts are usually under-developed and often of an unusual shape due to lack of volume, constriction of the breast base and a prominent, enlarged areola. The narrow base can cause the breast to look elongated and tubular.

Correction Procedures

There are a number of techniques Miss Breahna can use to restore shape, volume and symmetry to your breasts. She can use your own tissue (fat transfer), implants, expanders and / or remodelling of your breast tissue. The choice of breast correction technique that will best suit you will depend on your expectations and the breast volume and shape you are looking to achieve.

It is normal for you to have a second consultation, in order to offer you the opportunity to ask further questions once you have had time to consider the different surgical options.

Follow-up appointments will be arranged at 1, 2 and 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year to closely monitor your physical well-being.

Frequently asked questions

This treatment is suitable if you have tuberous breasts: elongated breasts with a narrow base, if the fold underneath your breasts (inframammary crease) is situated high and you have protruding areolas. A full assessment before the treatment is agreed will take place, addressing your individual situation, taking into account your medical history and personal goals.

Tuberous breast correction will cause some soreness to the breasts while healing takes place. A course of painkillers will need to be taken post-treatment, helping to alleviate any discomfort.

Common risks are bruising, swelling and temporary numbness. Infrequent risks are infection, bleeding (haematoma), delayed healing, poor scarring and asymmetry.

Recovery from this breast correction procedure may incur a period of 2 weeks recovery time to allow for successful healing, and time off work may be required. Driving will be possible after 2 weeks. It may need up to 3 weeks before travelling abroad and up to 12 weeks before returning to the gym.
